Rescue workers recover seriously injured person: Person hit by subway at Wandsbek Markt - line closed
Hamburg: A serious accident occurred at Wandsbek Markt underground station on Friday afternoon. A person was hit by a subway train and seriously injured. Rescue workers are currently on the scene.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. at the Wandsbek Markt underground station. According to initial findings, a person was hit by a subway train on line U1. The person was seriously injured and had to be rescued by the fire brigade.
Rescue workers are currently on the scene and providing medical assistance to the injured person. The person is then taken to a hospital.
Due to the accident, line U1 is currently closed between Wandsbek Markt and Volksdorf stations. Replacement buses have been set up.
The police have started an investigation into the cause of the accident.
